Spring Mandala is a vibrant, immersive design that fuses Art Nouveau aesthetics with natural motifs. The composition is framed by delicate cicada wings and populated with a nest of flora and fauna, including twirling vines, luminous flowers, and neon leaves rendered in saturated, glowing color hues.
The piece celebrates organic symmetry and ornamental flow, creating a hypnotic, spring-inspired mandala that balances nature’s elegance with a modern, electric palette. Each element — from the spiraling vines to the intricate insect wings — contributes to a dynamic sense of movement and depth, drawing the viewer into a lush botanical universe.
This artwork is ideal for print, wall art, digital displays, and merchandise, and showcases a distinctive approach to combining natural forms with decorative design traditions.
This is my deviantart.com deviation submission designed for ‘The Holi Mandala Contest 2024’.
Honouring the submission requirements of the contest by featuring elements of flora and fauna in a nest of saturated colour hues- neon leaves, luminous flowers and twirling vines are accompanied by the presence of gossamer wings~Design elements similar to that of the Art Nouveau period have been utilised to tie these organic elements together to herald forward my interpretation of the spirit of spring!

This piece is the first I have had professionally printed as a gift for my mum for mothers day as she really liked the design and wanted a copy for her wall. I found an amazing printer Posterfactory.com.au and to say i am happy with the hard copy, i s an understatement. i cant wait to get some more of my designs and photos printed. Ive included some photos of the printed canvas to show how well the colours transitioned from screen to ink. The fact that they explicitly print using srgb colour profile means i wont have to convert any more designs to cmyk and be dissapointed at the colour loss.
