The Vintage Trail Roadshow in Donnybrook, Western Australia, in 2019, was more than just an event; it was a carefully crafted experience, brought to life through a comprehensive promotional campaign. This post examines the evolution of the promotional materials, from the initial logo design to the diverse range of media used to generate excitement and attract attendees.
The foundation of the campaign was a logo designed to capture the essence of a vintage aesthetic. This logo served as the visual anchor, informing the design of all subsequent promotional materials. The design brief allowed for creative freedom, resulting in a cohesive and visually appealing brand identity.
The promotional materials extended beyond the initial flyer-The campaign included a variety of print media, such as stickers, VIP tags, save-the-date cards, mini business cards, and detailed route maps. A standout feature was the creation of the “Vested Rabbit,” the Vintage Trail mascot. This character was not only incorporated into the promotional materials but was also produced as a sheet metal item, adding a unique and collectible element to the event. The mascot was sold in various stores, extending the brand’s reach and creating a lasting impression. This project demonstrates the power of a well-executed promotional strategy in building anticipation and driving attendance for a community event.
